Call For Entries!

We are now taking submissions for the 2007 Austin Underground Film Festival. Read on for the guidelines.
We accept SHORTS ONLY, the maximum length is 40 minutes.
Styles:
- narratives
- freeform
- documentaries
- experimental
- animation
- music videos
- silent
- foreign
- works-in-progress, provided they will be completed by event date
All films in languages other than English must be subtitled or dubbed in English, unless dialogue is nonessential to comprehension and appreciation.
Subject matter can be of any rating or maturity level, children’s to adult. If your film doesn’t fit in one of these loose categories, feel free to e-mail andy (at) austinundergroundfilm (dot) com and ask!
Deadlines and Fees:
- Early Deadline: January 15th - $15
- Regular Deadline: February 1st - $20
If you’ve previously submitted a film, your first entry is free.
Formats:
1/2” NTSC VHS video and NTSC DVD only.
There is no entry form, however we ask that each submission be accompanied by:
- name of the writer, director, and producer (if applicable)
- synopsis and/or artist’s statement
- the appropriate entry fee (cash, money orders or checks) please, payable to: Andy Gately, Festival Director, or via Paypal to:
andy@austinundergroundfilm.com - be sure to include your name and film in a brief attached message so we know which payment corresponds to which movie) - running time
- premiere? (local, national, or world, if applicable)
- e-mail address or contact phone # to allow for selection notification
- OPTIONAL stills, press packets, publicity materials, etc.
- How you heard about the festival.
Unfortunately, entries will not be returned. Multiple submissions are acceptable, but do require separate entry fees.
